THE Canadian Diploma (OSSD) is awarded to Student who have completed Canadian Secondary School Education from Grade 9-12 with a total of 30 Credits(Courses) earned.
Student are expected to earn a total of 16 credits in Grade 9-10, 14 Credits in Grade 11-12, Min. of 75% achievement in Literacy test and up to 40 hours of Community service to be awarded the certificate.
GRADE 12 CREDITS TOWARDS MATRICULATION
The Canadian Diploma Grade 12 credits towards earning the Ontario Secondary School Diploma are mainly Pre University courses so not a mistake some also call program Canadian University foundation program or simply A'Levels in the Canadian version.
Courses taken include(Following Science stream): University English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, World Cultures, World issue: Geographic Analysis and Introductory Kinesiology.
If coming from WAEC (NIG. Gr. 12) background, you will need minimum of 7 Courses depending on your Prio learning assessment evaluation(PLAR) outcome to be awarded the OSSD. Those with Cambridge O'Levels(BRITISH Gr. 11) require minimum of 12- 14 Credits towards the Canadian Diploma. A minimum of one academic year is required to achieve the Ontario Secondary School Diploma as dependent on expected Credits after your Prio Learning assessment.
