Airline Transport Pilots (ATP's) are allowed to fly people in commercial airlines and other aircraft professionally although the process of achieving this fit could take years if not in the right flying school. It should be noted that the Student pilot license, Private pilot license and Commercial pilot license are not enough to qualify one as a profession pilot.

 

THE PROCESSES OF BECOMING A PROFESSIONAL PILOT

STUDENT PILOT CERTIFICATE: To become a student pilot, you have to get instruction from a certified instructor and pass the FAA or NCAA Student Pilot knowledge tests. Your instructor will give you an endorsement that allows you to fly solo towards FAA approved certification when you have mastered these basic maneuvers:

- Safe takeoffs
- Safe landings
- Maintaining positive control of the aircraft
- Demonstrate consistently good judgment and safety


PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE: You cant be hired after having this certificate which is normally issued after obtaining:

- Valid driver' license
- Minimum of 35 varied flight hours, including night training
- Passed FAA knowledge and practical tests
- Third class FAA Medical Certificate


COMMERCIAL PILOT CERTIFICATE: You cant fly passengers for hire with this certificate though possible to be paid flying an AIRCARAFT for other operations. Certificate is issued after having:

- Passed the training and log hours for single-/multi-engine land class rating requirements
150 to 250 hours of piloting time
- Passed an aeronautics written test of 100 questions
- Passed FAA oral and flight tests by FAA Inspector, FAA-designated examiner, or authorized check instructor.


AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT CERTIFICATE: Most people who imagine being a pilot aim for this license enabling to fly for hire passenger or any Aircraft put into different use. To be issued this license, Student must have:

- 1500+ hours of flight time, including 100 night flight hours and 500 hours cross-country if in the US or 500 hours of ground school and 750+ hours of flight time in Canada(IATP).


DURATION: 18 months to 48 months depending on level of professionalism interested in flying an Aircraft


COST: 1, 799 USD to 26, 000 USD depending on flying Experience and license in your possession..
